- A-3-2 root lies above the base tone

- A-5 indeterminate

- B-2: without minor seconds or major sevenths

- B-2-A: with minor seventh only (no major second)

- B-2-B: containing major seconds or minor sevenths or both

- B-2-3: containing more than one tritone
